Def Leppard Are Not Foolin'

Big news: Def Leppard aren't fooling... they mean business!

The band themselves informed their fans via the lyrics of one of their singles.

I'm talking about Foolin', from the 1983 album Pyromania.

By the way, speaking of meaning business, Pyromania is an album that has sold over 10 million copies in the United States alone 😱.

Sure, those were different times for the music industry, but hey... it's not like selling 10 million records was within everyone's reach.

I'm a huge Def Leppard fan. I think you can tell by this post and the fact that Foolin' is the third of their songs I've written about.

However, my passion for the British band is not the second big news in this post, but a little news of little importance, so I will give you another curiosity.

The video clip of Foolin' was filmed in New Jersey, at the Ritz Theatre in Elizabeth (name of a city, not a person 😉). Yes, I would also say "who cares...", but that's not the curiosity. The girl who plays the harp with her eyes closed in the video is Perri Lister, Billy Idol's girlfriend at the time. In Historia, a video collection by Def Leppard published in 1988, immediately before the video of Foolin', the writing "Indeed, a face without eyes" appears, in reference to the song Eyes Without a Face by Billy Idol.
