The 80s and Around site is hosted on the Blogger.com platform, owned by Google Inc.

This site collects navigation data or data that the User voluntaliry provides.

Purpose of processing

What are cookies and what are they used for

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics and its cookies, which are considered technical if used only for optimization purposes and if the users’ IPs are kept anonymous. The IP addresses of visitors to this site have been anonymized.

The version of Analytics available since July 2023, called GA4, was created specifically to adapt to the privacy regulations of various countries.

This version truncates, by default, part of the users’ IP address (the last eight digits), making identification impossible. Google collects, however, other data that could lead to identification if cross-referenced with the anonymized IPs. It is possible, however, to prevent the cross-referencing of data by Google by deselecting the option in the data sharing settings, which is what this site has done.

Like many small sites, in fact, this one does not require profiling functions. The only data available on GA4 are, therefore:

  • the number of visits to the site
  • the number of views of each post and page
  • the search terms used to find the blog
  • the geographical area of the reader, but limited to the Nation (Italy, Germany, etc.)
  • the type of device used for access (smartphone, PC, tablet)
  • the type of browser

Any data relating to the gender, age, or personal data of the reader is not available in any way.

The data collected by GA4 are stored on Google servers.

In the GA property relating to this site, a duration of 14 months has been set for the maintenance of the archiving of data, which, I remind you, have been anonymized and aggregated for statistical purposes only.

Despite the certainty of not being able to be identified in any way, the Internet User has the right to not consent to the collection of this data by mine or any other site.

For this reason, it is right to know that Google Analytics can be deactivated with an add-on available for Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera. This component, once installed, deactivates the script that detects visits to the various sites.

Comments on the site

Anyone who comments on this site must be aware that their name or username will remain on the web page, and, if logged in with Google, will be clickable (for example, it could lead to the Blogger Profile).

Cosa sono i cookie e a cosa servono

Google Analytics

È possibile, però, impedire l’incrocio dei dati da parte di Google deselezionando l’opzione nelle impostazioni di condivisione dei dati, cosa che questo sito ha fatto.

Come molti piccoli siti, infatti, questo non necessita di funzioni di profilazione. Gli unici dati disponibili su GA4 sono, quindi:

  • il numero di visite al  sito
  • il numero di visualizzazioni di ogni post e pagina
  • i termini di ricerca usati per trovare il blog
  • l'area geografica del visitatore, limitata, però, alla Nazione (Italia, Germania, eccetera)
  • il tipo di dispositivo usato per l'accesso (smartphone, PC, tablet)
  • il tipo di browser

Qualunque dato relativo a sesso, età o dati anagrafici del lettore non è in alcun modo disponibile.

I dati raccolti da GA4 vengono archiviati nei server di Google.

Nella proprietà di GA relativa a questo sito, è stata impostata una durata di 14 mesi per il mantenimento dell’archiviazione dei dati, che, ricordo, sono stati anonimizzati e aggregati ai soli fini statistici.

Nonostante la certezza di non poter essere in alcun modo identificato, l’Utente di internet ha il diritto di non acconsentire alla raccolta di questi dati da parte del mio o di qualunque altro sito.

Per questo, è giusto sapere che Google Analytics può essere disattivato con un componente aggiuntivo disponibile per Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari e Opera. Questo componente, una volta installato, disattiva lo script che rileva le visite sui vari siti.

Commenti sul sito

Chi commenta su questo sito deve essere consapevole che il suo nome o username resterà inserito nella pagina web e, se loggato con Google, sarà cliccabile (potrà portare, ad esempio, al Profilo di Blogger).
