Whitesnake Try Twice With Here I Go Again

"Whitesnake Try Twice With Here I Go Again" written on a concert image

Originally released on the 1982 album Saints & Sinners, Here I Go Again was rerecorded for the 1987 album Whitesnake.

The 1987 version differs from the previous one mostly in the lyrics, with some small changes to some verses.

The song was written by David Coverdale, singer of Whitesnake (and previously of Deep Purple), and Bernie Marsden, guitarist of the group until 1982.

On both albums, Here I Go Again was chosen as a single, a sign that the band believed in the song.

And the second release proved them right because the single entered the charts all over the world, rocketing to number one in the United States and Canada.

The video for Here I Go Again features model Tawny Kitaen, who also starred in other videos for the band and was Coverdale's wife from 1989 to 1991.
