Who Wants to Live Forever, an Immortal Song

Words "Who Wants to Live Forever, an immortal song"

Who Wants to Live Forever was written by Queen guitarist Brian May for the soundtrack to the 1986 film Highlander.

In the version included in the album A Kind of Magic, the twelfth of the band, May sings the first verse, the central phrase But touch my tears with your lips, and the final phrase Who waits forever anyway?

The film version is instead sung entirely by Freddy Mercury.

The song addresses the main theme of the film, immortality, a condition impossible for human beings, but which seems to apply well to the songs of the legendary Queen.
