There are bands that don't stay active for decades but still leave a mark.
A perfect example is Mr. Mister, an American band active from 1982 to 1990.
The band has released only three albums. A fourth, prepared in 1989/1990 but rejected by the record company, was remixed and released only in 2010.
The most successful album, which climbed the charts all over the world, is the second, Welcome to the Real World, dated 1985.
Three singles were released from this album: Broken Wings, Kyrie, and Is It Love.
Broken Wings is without a doubt the song that comes to mind when you think of Mr. Mister.
The song, which takes inspiration from the book Broken Wings by Kahlil Gibran, exists in album and single versions with a difference in length of over a minute (as often happens with singles).
The video was shot in black and white and focuses on Richard Page, the band's frontman, driving a convertible through the desert, followed by a buzzard.
Broken Wings remains one of the most played songs of the 80s to this day.
