There are now just a handful of days to go until what promises to be a historic event for lovers of... historic music.
I'm talking about the last Black Sabbath concert, which will be held in Birmingham on July 5th.
Back to the Beginning is the name of the event, which brings the members of the band's historic lineup back to the city where it all began.
The members are, of course, Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi (a true historic member of the band, having never left it), bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward.
More than a concert, it's a Festival, as various artists will alternate on stage: Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon.
There will also be performances by Slash, Tom Morello, Fred Durst, Billy Corgan, Duff McKagan, Wolfgang Van Halen, and more.
The proceeds from the concert will be donated to charity.
The tickets, as expected, are sold out: it took less than twenty minutes, on February 14, to sell out.
All those who won't be able to be there, like me, will console themselves by thinking that in the age of the internet, there will still be a way to see the concert. Once upon a time we would not even have had that possibility.
Of course, experiencing an event like that in person is a whole other thing...
