In Run to You, Bryan Adams Talks About Infidelity

Let's start by saying that I like Bryan Adams. And I like him a lot.

A meaningless statement, perhaps, since I love all the music I write about on this blog.

Of some artists, however, I love a song or two, or maybe an entire album, but not their entire discography.

Not Bryan.

And of course, I absolutely loved him in the 80s.

I think I've listened to Reckless, the 1984 album, hundreds of times.

I was a teenager at the time, and during my childhood, the only music in my house was Italian pop music. Beautiful, of course, but in the early 80s, foreign rock was a wonderful discovery for me, who had listened to practically only disco music from abroad.

Reckless contains some very beautiful songs, such as Heaven, Summer of '69, and the amazing It's Only Love, a duet with Tina Turner.

The single Bryan chose to introduce the album to the world is Run to You, which talks about infidelity.

It's to his lover, in fact, that the protagonist of the song continues to run - to the detriment of his faithful companion.

In the video, however, the object of desire seems to be the guitar (and therefore the music).

Not very flattering anyway for the unfortunate companion... a companion who, however, is not me, so I don't take it personally and enjoy Bryan's hoarse voice!

After watching this video, don't miss the post about another wonderful single from Reckless: Heaven by Bryan Adams Makes You Feel Like... in Heaven
