There are songs that are more than forty years old that we still listen to.
Nothing more normal: if you like a piece, you listen to it even if it's three hundred years old.
However, it's assumed that the song was a huge success, otherwise it would have ended up in oblivion like many others, not because they were not good, but because of all the records that come out every year, which have the right of precedence in radio and television rotation.
And instead you discover that the song, at the time, was not very successful.
It happened to I Love It Loud, a single by Kiss from the 1982 album Creatures of the Night.
Really? I don't remember at all. And yet I was there at the time - 😱 - and I also listened to that kind of music.
I Love It Loud, a strong point in Kiss concerts and therefore very well known by fans, did not enter the American singles chart, the famous Billboard Hot 100, which lists - listen up - the 100 best-selling songs of the week (I apologize to the Americans who know the name of their charts well 😉).
The album, fortunately, had a happier fate, placing itself at 45th position in the American album chart. Even better in Europe, where it placed between 20th and 40th position in many countries... now everything adds up.
