Some questions will never be answered. At least, not with a sensible answer.
For example: How is it possible that a song like Home Sweet Home by Mötley Crüe only reached #89 on the US singles chart in 1985?
It may be true that the album it's on, Theatre of Pain, peaked at #6, but almost all songs on the chart are included on an album.
Dismay aside, Home Sweet Home is, needless to say, about homesickness. That feeling that, as the band says, assails musicians on tour for months at a time, away from family and home, which are essential for human beings to develop a sense of belonging.
There are covers of Home Sweet Home.
One was done by Carrie Underwood, the country singer, in 2009.
Another country singer, Justine Moore, recorded the song as a duet with Vince Neil, the lead singer of Mötley Crüe.
But the most interesting version in my opinion is the one by Mötley Crüe featuring Chester Bennington, recorded after Hurricane Katrina, the tropical cyclone that devastated the southern United States in 2005.
